Tanzania president John Magufuli assist in cleaning the streets
John Magufuli who is the new president of Tanzania has joined many residents of the main city of Dar es salaam in a public clean up campaign. The new president has been named the "Bulldozer" for his humility and senseful approach. The move is being seen as symbolic of the president's promise to tackle corruption."Let us work together to keep our country, cities, homes and workplaces
clean, safe and healthy," His Excellency Magufuli told a crowd of surprised
onlookers as he picked up dirts off the streets of Dar es salaam. Magafuli who is nicknamed the bulldozer took power on the 23rd of October this year and since then has announced a range of cost cutting measures, such include the ban on unnecessary travel by government officials. This new president paid a surprised visit to the state hospital and found patients lying on the floor, filled with anger, he immediately sacked the head of the main hospital. May Tanzania be that model country he is trying to bring out, that free of corruption an pandemics.
